I have always loved drawing and handwriting and enjoy any activity that involves the old school calligraphy, lettering and doodling.
That’s why when my friend asked me to make some signs for her upcoming daughter’s wedding reception I said “I Do” and jumped at the chance!
Here is what we came up with for her “I Do BBQ” …
The super casual wedding reception will be held outdoors and the guests will first be greeted by this sign:
BBQ fare is on the Menu so we came up with this:
Menu:
Sliders
Hot Dogs
Potato Salad
Ranch Beans
Mac & Cheese
Chips
I first wrote my ideas in pencil and then traced over it with the Chalk Marker. For thicker lines just let it dry and then mark over the lines a few more times.

My favorite part is the chips, I guess because it is written in my own handwriting.
After they eat they will get to relax and play games.
Horse Shoes
Batting
Bocce Ball
These signs were drawn on thick black foam boards.
I am sure it will be a super fun wedding reception, I cannot wait to hear what the guests think of the signs!

Ha ha Tami, I just made a couple of chalkboard signs for my daughter's outdoor wedding in three weeks. It's nice to see others are doing "casual" weddings too. Love it and your signs are awesome!!! Pinned to my Wedding board.
These are so adorable. You have great handwriting Tami!
